Today the three of us took a gorgeous drive to Great Falls National Park. It is only about a 20 minute drive however when you arrive there it seems as if you've left Fairfax County! It is so peaceful and green with one tenth of the amount of traffic!!! You can hike, bike, run, raft, rock climb! We just hiked! It is actually part of the Potomac River which runs everywhere in VA it seems! We rafted the Potomac River earlier this summer but in a totally different area. Anyways, we packed a lunch, packed up Belle and headed there for a 3 hour getaway! The weather was perfect as well. Couldn't have asked for a better fall Sunday!
